Your example again makes clear what we are talking about: A quantumleap.
As an absolute layman I compare it like this: My little pocket camera has 12 MPixels and makes proper pictures when it is not too dim. I know my sensor isn´t best in class but let´s say it was. If it had a PoetSensor of the same size, I had more than 100 MPixels and fine pictures even if it´s pitch black. You could count every single feather of a night owl a mile away from me.
I do know that this detector isn´t a camera sensor. But one can develop it based on poets detector, let it be BAE or Canon or Apple. No wonder Poet makes a product of its own out of this.
So much verticals beyond datalinks or cameras. Not only the hyped augmented reality and autonomous driving, but also "old fashioned" industries. Lots of optical imaging, sensoring, measuring.
Poet-powered detectors should be able to capture a little market share, I guess.
