Found this on Bloomberg, I haven't seen it written like this before today. The news said it was posted today.

POET Technologies Inc. designs semi-conductor products for military, industrial, and commercial applications in the United States and Canada. It develops infrared sensor arrays for homeland security monitoring and imaging, as well as a combination of optical lasers and electronic control circuits on the same microchip for applications in various military programs and telecom for fiber to the home. The company was formerly known as Opel Technologies Inc. and changed its name to POET Technologies Inc. in June 2013. POET Technologies Inc. is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
