Couldn't agree more. Once worked for a Minnesota casino company ... churned & burned their marketing staff - must have had 150% annual turnover. What was lost & really missed in all the turmoil was not creative (most of that was captured in templates/ paradigms); or quantitative data. Rather it was systems knowledge - the ability to construct, abstract, synthesize. Also, the Personal Touch - the vendors & reps who will go out on a limb for you based on a telephone call...
