Shareholder votes are regulated by very specific rules. The company can't hold shareholder votes on an investor day. A special meeting of shareholders would need to be called for any formal voting matters.
Having said that, I am impressed that the first investor day is being held in Canada. I believe they will utilize Canadian analysts and media as a springboard to a TSX listing in the near future. Then use the momentum of that as a springboard to the NASDAQ, all supported by tangible news.
