Here's some numbers for PC's options that are currently in the money. All numbers are in CAD. Reference point is May 1st, when PC resigned:
Number | Price | Cost to Exercise/Proceeds to Poet |
2,500,000 | 0.235 | $587,500.00 |
500,000 | 0.445 | $222,500.00 |
300,000 | 0.49 | $147,000.00 |
3,300,000 | $957,000.00 |
As can be seen below, the number of shares sold by Canaccord closely matches the increase in O/S shares. The amount of funds raised through Canaccord's selling also closely matches the amount required to exercise the number of options detailed above. Bottom line, I think the selling is pretty much done.
Outstanding share count increase since May 1st (excluding DL shares): 803,040
Canaccord (broker 33) sold since May 1st: 887,100 for proceeds of just over $1,000,000

Reference on why options should be exercised at the lowest possible market price. One can see the motivation for PC exercising his options as soon as possible, especially if he feels the share price will be higher in the near future. The amount of tax he will have to pay next April would be significantly higher, the higer the share price is on the date of exercise.
