gilver, I have a different theory. I think Dr. Taylor's time has now simply passed by. I first suspected this when he left the board to "spend more time on the tech." I really don't think it occupies much time to be on the board of directors. And with teleconferencing, I just don't think it's much of a logistics problem. The man was about 70 and probably ready for retirement, and he may well have clashed with some of the ideas of Suresh and Subhash. We all want to revere our super heroes and that's well and good, but it doesn't mean everyone does.
GT laid the foundation and then some (as in, "a lot more"), but he was not a commercial business guy (for example, many of the young guys like Zuckerberg have tech savvy and a lot of business savvy). PC was a transition guy; I'm now convinced we would go no where commercially with PC and GT running the show. PC is now gone, too. While nostalgia keeps those two fondly in our minds and hearts, this is a brand new show, brand new writers, directors, and actors. Of course, PC and GT will remain interested in progress and surely will know at all times more than we do, but I feel their input going forward will be very limited. And that's okay.
