With respect, voting NO is an action that withdraws support of management's request for tools they believe are necessary in the execution of their game plan.
The underlying belief they have sufficient options for their needs is your opinion, but how could we possibly form that opinion in the absence of knowing what their plans are in respect of the increased option pool.
Not communicating their exact need for the increased pool of options is the issue and that is something that should be addressed, if possible, depending upon how sensitive that issue is relative to the execution of their game plan and strategies. I think FJ tried to articulate this as well.
Forming your opinion is fine but taking action on those opinions really requires all the relevent information available and, at this point, I don't think we have sufficient information and we may not get it in time, so it continues to boil down to our trust and support of management and their judgment in what is necessary.
