Message: Globalfoundries Wins Chip Contract with US Defense

Sure. The collective information below, IMO, shows a clear connection between Poet and GF and maybe GF will license the Poet Technology to develop Defense Applications.

We know from the THM Slide Show that advanced disccussions for NRE of Poet IP in multiple applications for aerospace and defense are happening for IR Sensors and high power laser sources. (slide 20)

We know from the news release (June 6 2016) that GF will be developing chips for US Defense, out of East Fishkill and Burlington. (both considered mature facilities - which fits Poet technology transfer)

From the Deftronics Video (Sept 2015), Ajit states that Poet Technologies has very serious applications for defense.

We know that,

Ajit Manocha, Poet Chairman of the Board (joined Poet July 2014)

Ajit Manocha, Current Senior Advisor for Globalfoundries (former CEO of GF)

GF acquired IBM semiconductor, ASIC and specialty foundry, manufacturing and related operations and sales. (http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/IBM/key-developments/article/3088482) (Oct 2014)

Ajit Manocha, Member of Steering Committee for Obama's Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/10/27/fact-sheet-president-obama-announces-new-actions-further-strengthen-us-m) (Oct 2014)

Dr. Suresh Venkatesan - CEO Poet Technologies (previous SVP, Technology Development - GF)

Vikas Gupta - VP, Designs Systems, Poet Technologies (previous Director of Technology/Design - Globalfoundries)

Walter Favre, Poet Lab Manager provided direct professional recommendation of Rajesh Nair, VP of Technology Development, GF (Oct 2015 - via Linkedin)

So, do you think Ajit has shared any information about the Disruptive Capabilities of Poet with his former employer Globalfoundries?
