Sorry, but I disagree.
I believe it was found out that Suresh and Ajit were making upwards of 10+ million USD$ per year in their old positions. It doesn't matter how many options they get, they aren't making anywhere close to what they made in their past positions. This is a massive show of faith in the technology and the company.
Add on their reputations on the line and this all lines up as looking extremely positive moving forward.
