Message: POET Technologies Announces the Results of its AGM and Option Grant of July 7,

Crzyhorse, "Comments anyone ?????."

Bottom line, I hope those options are worth hundreds of millions five years from now! I wish that unlike other companies, the strike price would have been over the recent share price, but that's typical, as is the grant of options at a post AGM Board meeting.

If the company is successful, the people who have much of the respsonsibilty therefor deserve big-time compensation, after all, if successful, we've all been hearing how disruptive this tech is, right? And the size of the market for this technology, right?

So, if the stock goes to $21 one year from now, $19,000,000 will be made on the shares represented by the options ($78,000,000 X 25% vesting) in the one year period. So let's say Suresh gets one million of these options, let's see, he'll be able to increase his net worth by $4,000,000, then he gets his salary, too. Let's say he ends up with a total of $5,000,000 made for the annual period, July 8, 2016, to July 9, 2017 (of course, he's going to cash in on the options he already has, too, and the Board would surely vote him a bonus of a couple of million). Damn, lots of money. As much as Sidney Crosby makes? But surely Suresh will be signed up as a pitch man for many products and make countless millions there, like, maybe Kobe Bryant? We might see Suresh grilling in the backyard, on a new fangled grill bearing his name - you think?

Now imagine what level of success POET might have achieved if by July 8, 2017, the share price is $21? Think most here would judge he's worth it? What do you think other Silicon Valley CEO's would think, is he worth it? CEO's that make fabulous/ridiculous salaries, many of whom took over already tremendously successful companies and had not too much to do with disruptive innovation - what might they think if they knew well the story of POET? Would Suresh have spearheaded accomplishment as great as, say Jamie Diamond at JP Morgan -check out his salary and bonuses. If the stock is at $21 in a year, would he deserve 10% of what Jamie pulls down, or has on several occasions in the past? No way, right? What am I missing?

Disclosure, in no way do I believe the share price will be $21 or even close by July 8, 2017, if it were, I'd be fairly well off - that, ladies and gentlemen, can't happen!

All of the above - ;)
