a "few" weeks...

I've been busy with work and life and content to just read the board for awhile now, but I think I may be able to quell a certain feeling some have toward the topic of the Q2 targets, so here goes.
I've actually been waiting for someone to bring this up for a long time, but, since it hasn't happened, I will. Myself, I never did hear anyone promise during the THM that the Q2 targets would be reached within "two weeks". I do understand where I believe the misconception is coming from, but I honestly think its just a miscommunication, or misunderstanding, or more than likely, both.
The excerpt from the THM transcript that is quoted here so many times to prove that we were promised within "two weeks"... is, itself, misrepresenting what was said by Ajit.
What I heard when I first listened to the THM and again when listening to the video after Ajit was misquoted so many times was this:
01:27:14 – "So now when you start the process from, again, starting with new wafers, by the time it finishes, it may not happen by June 30th, but it doesn’t mean we are going to miss the milestones. But I want you to just have the mindset here that when we say Q2, [it means] plus/minus few weeks. It’s not plus/minus quarters."
Go ahead and cue up the video and listen to what he actually says and you may agree. (or you may not, that's okay too)
Maybe it seems obvious to me because I have a few Indian friends and have worked with many Indians over the years and have grown accustomed to decifering their accent. And I'm just going to say it like it is here (I hate being "politically correct", ask my wife! :) ), Ajit with his clipped english can be quite hard to understand at times. Don't take me the wrong way. That's not a slight against him at all. He has an accent. English is not his first language. I'm actually quite impressed by his communication skills at times. But he can be hard to understand.
I'm rambling now (tends to happen after being up all night), but the point I think I'm making is go back and listen to the video again at the point noted above and listen through until Ajit is finished helping Suresh answer that question. If you take him as saying "few", not "two", then I think you'll agree that his answer becomes harmonious from beginning to end.
And your anxiety over the matter will subside.
