Wonder why? Well, for one thing, the share price is pretty darn low already, secondly, the volume has been pretty darn low, too. Short players also realize that in this relatively thinly traded stock, getting out will be difficult and costly, perhaps wiping out much of the gain. Shorters have to hope this one goes under, and it really doesn't appear to be headed for anthing quite so dire.
And, of course, I don't remember the last time there was a real short interest in this stock, and people just don't know enough about it to play it short. It just doesn't attract short players.
But, to the extent it gives any indication that POET is not going to zero or close to it anytime soon, that's mildly encouraging.
I'll say, if POET is 80% or more of your investment portfolio, you've had a pretty boring portfolio the last several months, save the one nice, albeit short-lived, push to $1.47 - ah, yes, that one, brief, shining moment!
