The detector and HFET may be optimized now, but I do not recall hearing that officially. From the 2016 August 9 NR (bold is mine) “Two of the three critical individual pieces of an integrated opto-electronic product are now in place and undergoing their respective optimization cycles,” said Dr. Subhash Deshmukh

So, my understanding is that the optimization is still on-going. Of course the NR was a while ago, and any NR may be somewhat lagging what is current, however I'm not sure we can conclusively state that they are optimized. I suspect that is a formality, and the bigger challenge is the VCESL. Having said all of that, I'm confident in POET's ability to pull it all off. All IMO.
