Jackthebear: What do you define as soon Rainer
Who am I to define an English term! According to Merriam-Webster, "soon" means "at a time that is not long from now".
I think its in the nature of the word soon to be imprecise. But let's take the VCSEL transceiver development as an example. If we say this development will be (successfully) completed soon, this implies that today we are much closer to the end of this process than to its beginning. And that beginning was roughly one year ago.
(Ha, now please don't ask me what much could mean! ;-))
