I don't mind speculation being posted, as long as it is clearly labled as speculation. There is little else to keep this forum going without speculation, as facts from the Company are scarce at times. Some people like to speculate a lot, others, like Rainer, stick mainly to facts.

Fact: Its obvious Poet is having problems getting the VCSEL to work. Poets treasury is running low, and the expected or hoped for NRE has not worked out.

Speculation: I think all three are related. It must be very expensive to continually re-do a new recipe for the epitaxial stack to produce new wafers, and that is draining funds at a rapid rate. I think Suresh has placed a lot of emphasis, and Poet's future, on getting the VCSEL to work, and perhaps at the expense of persuing development & sale of their IR detector?

We will know much more next month with the release of the quarterly financials, when some of the above speculation can be moved to either the fact column, or to the overflowing garbage bin.
