We all know: Since SV took the helm of POET, strategy chenged.
And I was OK with it. Focussing on one or two vertical markets, own prodction instead of selling IP: increasing of shareholder value by value added chain.
At the momet it is all about lab to fab, VCSEL, AOC, Denselight and BB. A lot of every day business. But I guess we lost something on our way. We lost our spirit, our phantasy.
POET is still a pre-revenue company. Its value is determined by the expectation of the future. So where is the vision? Datacom and somewhere VR/micro displays. But where is the rest???
Incredibly fast memory, super fast CPUs, low power all in one IOT-chips, LIDAR, Quantum computing. The next big thing! Silicon extinction!
I hope that all this is still written in our book. But at the moemtn it seems all this is blown in the wind. The phantasy left POET, and the SP is where it is - and therefore they threw away 20% of the company.
Poet should take care. No need tu pump, but to keep the spirit, the spirit to change the world!
