"Could it be that they wanted to keep the SP from rising too soon after the PP so that they can continue to justify the lousy deal they accepted? Would be hard to say they got the best terms possible if we immediately went back to pre-announcement SP level."

That's the kind of speculation that gets one in trouble in the first place - that is not why the  share price is where it is.  Once that offering was finalized, the stock was going to stay down until something really big revived it.  For a cold or flu, you take some sort of medication, for what happened to us, you need adrenaline injected directly into the heart.  Let's hope we get some soon.
