Even with the reduced revenue guidance, the Company has achieved significant quarter on quarter revenue increases and expects that the DenseLight business unit will develop into a robust platform for the commercialization of POET technology. The Company anticipates continued revenue growth at DenseLight and its intention to reach positive operating cash flow by the first half of 2017.
For each of our markets, POET is about to roll out an unrivalled optoelectronic device and process platform that enables low power, minimized size and component cost for smart optical components. POET’s goal in each of them is to provide data management at the speed of light and the cost of copper.

As we enter this next phase of significant Photonics growth in the industry, the trend is towards integrated photonics. Integration has always been the answer to lower cost and improved performance in the world of semiconductor electronics - and we are only now beginning to apply these principles to optoelectronics. We believe POET holds the pole position in this race.

development activities in a technology-based company are not deterministic and outcomes cannot be readily predicted, timed or guaranteed. Evaluating technical progress often requires nuanced explanation or detailed engineering knowledge. Providing detail on confidential technical, strategic and sales efforts can inadvertently benefit potential competitors, and so the Company will refrain from answering such inquiries. Although we have encountered a number of challenges during the course of 2016, we have also made and continue to make meaningful progress on technology development and business objectives. We ask for your understanding, cooperation and support for the new communications and disclosure policy.
My interpretation of the above statements is that this is a company on the cusp of delivering on its potential.
The recent management changes for me signal the start of a new phase in the company's development that requires a team with different skills to deliver commercial success.
I believe that significant work has silently proceeded in establishing an entre into those verticals prioritised for POET products.
In order not to jeopardise both technical and commercial progress a veil of secrecy has necessarily been imposed to allow the company to launch its commercial offering. I believe they have something worthwhile to conceal for good reasons. All I can hear is a timer ticking down for that to be revealed.
I imagine that on the 7th of March 17 at Brussels PIC SV may be able to relieve some of the tension when he addresses delegates at the PIC on the POET offering.
