Could have several explanations:

• They intend to attract new customers or interested parties by some means and therefore polish their website.
• They have eventually achieved the most important goals and now have the time to take a deep breath and care for some lower-prioritized issues, like the website.
• The have nothing else to do, because the POET technology failed miserably. (Okay, sorry, just kidding.)
