I think Rick was referring to the way it was priced when the SP was a higher level.  They announced a PP with a future closing causing the SP to tank below offer level.  Making instant profits for those "PLATINUM" investors while shafting faithful/loyal/hopeful/naive/fanatical, etc. investors who has been supoprting the company for many years.
