LOL, kooter, I'm not quite there (wishing I'd never heard of POET), and, really, not all that close to being there.  It's been an interesting, if costly, journey so far.  There are lots of interesting people associated with the whole POET experience.

It has been fun to attend the last two AGM's and it will likely be three if it's in SJ again.  I always knew this was highly speculative, and you sometimes lose it all in such ventures, so you need to be prepared for it.  No amount of due diligence can raise the certainty level to a point where there is no significant downside risk, especially with a developmental company.  However, the due diligence of others, though well intended, can cause one not so technically savvy to become convinced that a multi-bagger is just a matter of time.  Once expectations are so set, it is difficult to come down from that mountain, hat in hand.

The above leads to over the top attacks when things don't go well (I figured they wouldn't from the start, but if they did, I would be well compensated for taking that large risk).  If I have a 1 in 5 shot to make 40 to 1, why not take a shot?  But I don't understand turning around and complaining (bitterly and unfairly at times) like this was some sort of sure thing; it never was.  Or lashing bitterly and unfairly as those that try to bring us the "best of Poet" as we all should want to know this.  But, at the same time, you need to know the limitation of those "best of Poet" posts.  If you don't, well, you're either inexperienced at these sorts of things (in which case you won't be by the time all the chips are counted here), overly gullible, or you've done so well in the past, that it doesn't really matter.  I don't think many here fall withing that latter class.

For myself, I continue to think that we have a fighting chance to get the market cap back to $300 million with what we actually have now, assuming our sales people can sell it!  As to the real sexy stuff, well, they say they "got it" and maybe they do, but is it commercially competive?  And if so, can their current or future sales force sell it?  And will someone else come up with something better?

The disconnect continues, in spades!  The price is disappointing, but not totatally suprising given the recent money raise.
