Just going back to the Blevins and TRAB links though, if it's true that AAPL doesn't really acquire others for billions, it does make you wonder if there was at some point a difference in opinion on potential future (and current) value.
If you truly believe that your product(s) will be disruptive while offering the most seamless solution short and long term, then why would you limit yourself to ONE mega cap, and walk away from numerous vertices and multiple potential competing customers?
Oh, to be a fly on the fab wall...
