Scary, regrettably I have to agree with you. There were times during the $70 club era that I was caught thinking what I could do with the money made from such a settlement price then over the course of many months it became increasingly clear that the pace at which Poet is progressing (or not) would not yield anything near $70. I appreciate FJ's comment concerning the vauation given Whatsapp and the $19B cannot be disputed, its fact. But when I see an active, mature and vibrant company operating in the Poet "space" such as Finisar, reality sinks in once again. Finisar's market cap is approximately $2.6B with revenues of approximately $1.5B.
Giving consideration to the unexercised warrants and options and assuming that 100% were exercised, a Poet market cap of $1B would yield an approximate share price of $3.00. We've been close to that before the dilution but realistically, given current circumstances of essentially being a start-up business from a revenue perspective, I just can't fathom $70 in our lifetime.
I understand there appears to be a ramp-up for something...........it had better be a helluva ramp!!!!
At the moment, I'm placing my faith in Lazovsky to get this done based on his past, Suresh while quite accomplished, has a few things to prove.
