Yes, I agree with you -it has nothing to do with VCSEL, but I am not referring to POET's work done in isolation. At the THM, Suresh V. mentioned that POET will be pursuing three areas and leaving the rest of the market up to others (so licensing NDAs assumed). Because of secrecy, none of us know whether other projects with larger research and lead time are extended by others under NDA. Yes, that could be fantasy, but at the same time - whether it is coincidental or not to some of the recent posts here- it cannot be ruled out that others may be working with POET concepts under NDAs. The keyword here is 'concept'. Concepts don't bring dollars to the bottom line, but when they work out, they enhance the future.

In the meantime, I still try to stick to the recent NRs as to where POET is going. However, other intelligent people on this forum do find compelling info. Yes, they are dots and I have come to have a huge disdain for dots, but we cannot entirely rule other possibilities out as well. Whether it be IBM, TRAB, or any customers that Denselight has brought us, POET is not a one trick pony, but at the same time we wish them well to execute on the tricks they are now engaged in whether NDA or just plain in-house development towards commercialization.
