A key take away from this recent presentation is POET is now comfortable with multi year, specific, revenue projections - this is new for POET and significant leap of what we have seen in the past.
With a suite of Indium Waveguides coming on board in Q4, VCSEL AOC in 2018, full transceivers in 2019 and a streamlined focus of sales towards core product (new) suite as it is released.... POET/DD/BB IP will finally be moving into monetization mode.
I agree with the strategic partner route and believe co-development pacts in certain areas can bring funding, attention, further credibility and increase in the speed to market of the aforementioned components even further.
With revenue, comes stock price …and as many us know, stocks are evaluated on future revenue/earnings potential and growth....it is just a matter of time for the market to wake up to new Photonics company emerging on the main scene. I too am envious of those who can get in at this level…it took a long while to get here, but POET is clearly going to see fruits of their labour sooner vs. later.
Putting new customer/startegic partners names in NR will give POET a good boost while the revenue is coming online.
