This is not a difficult concept to accept as there are some big companies that would want exclusive rights for their 100G supply as soon as possible and will be willing to commit. 

Yes, this concept has been floated around on the forum previously, as you have already provided a similar concept for the Poet Platform, "Someone like Finisar might be extremely eager to lock up a license as they could see their business model destroyed if they failed to get rights to the technology."

Lets hope that they are in a position, with the InP Hybrid Integration, to be moving beyond the concept stage, in the near term. (hopefully that is soon)
