Opportunityknocks: I think many here are missing a very, very, important detail. In June, management stated that they expected revenue from the GaAs platform in Q4 2018.

Perhaps POET's Strategy Commission met after the Toronto meeting and then decided to throw (almost) everything at InP to monetize from that platform.

Focusing on InP doesn't mean that GaAs is bad or broken, but that InP is better. The company expects more return on the same investment, and sooner, from the InP platform and dielectric photonics. So it is reasonable to put the company's resources there. It might not be the reason you and I invested in POET, but it is reasonable nevertheless.
