My response is to this and the last few posts here today. Very interesting! This may actually be what POET was hush hush for so long. Ajit Manocha made a presentation on behalf of a different entity about two years ago in India at a conference. He introduced himself and also made mention that he was with POET that had disruptive technology. He mentioned something with a military angle, but he spoke in generalized terms.
At the THM both Suresh and Ajit mentioned that POET was only going to participate in 3 markets but leave the other verticals to others. Military was not part of the publically disclosed strategy at that time.
In the July 13 AGM presentation, military applications for the GAA platform seem to be back on as a suitable area for that platform, but based on what we have been told in the past, it still doesn't necessarily mean that POET is still aspiring to do this, but it does leave the door open that if they were to have any involvement here that they would not go it alone. So either way, it is still speculative until we are told or proven otherwise. It could be the kick in the pants that this platform (GAA) needs to get it rapidly in motion. All of this post is just me thinking out loud and it does not mean it will ever come true, but who ever really knows?
