It appears that to him, "strategic partner" has a sliding scale of meanings, Anything from a "Daddy Warbucks" definition on the GaAs side to just "customers" on the InP side. 

There is no sense that the word means the same for both platforms.

I think this also applies to "industria news release" I suspect that to Suresh, in the jumble of words at the AGM, he used a term to describe what he actually meant as just the act of dissemination of new product information to the industry and taking requests for beta samples.......
