If you're already hanging by a rope and giving yourself a timeline of the end of October then I hope you have a will set up. You claim you sold 25k of your 40k shares leaving you with 15k shares. Do you really expect this stock to have the kind of price action to make your 15k shares worth that much from six or seven years ago? 

If any of what you have said is true (I am skeptical of everything but definitely everything on the internet) then you need to take a step back from the investment world. We have had some hugely bullish years (what would your money have been like with compound growth if you sold and bought something safe?) and you (and we) have had our money sunk in this dud but if October is your deadline you haven't learned your lesson. If you mean October 2018 then you may have your head around your POET investment finally.
