Jamie, It's unfortunate that you cannot seem to get a direct and clear answer to your question. However, my interpretation of the comments stem from the fact that Mattson was a board member of  SEMI back and 2005 and Ajit is now head of SEMi 12 years later and PoETPower sees this as a connectable dot. Who can say. Personnaly, having had a full career in the semiconductor world, I would be more inclined to put it down to the nature of a business where there is a finite gene pool and a degree of nepotism at the top of it's food chain.
