DenseLight is looking for passionate and skilled engineers to join our team in the product management, development and production of III-V semiconductor light source devices such as semiconductor Lasers and Superluminescent LED for applications in the diverse fields such as manufacturing, science, medical, communications, infrastructure, transportation, energy and aerospace.

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

To develop processes and capabilities align to company’s technology and product roadmap, align to and integrate with in-house manufacturing capabilities and outsource.

 

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To improve FAB A (Epitaxy) quality indices and systems such as Line Yield and Statistical Process Control. Manage process and product change control. Set up quality program for NPI projects, including the creation of control documentation, establishing process control and training of engineers.

 

  • Assist the development and execution of all FAB A (Epitaxy) engineering and development activities of optoelectronics and photonics integrated circuits to meet NPI design goals and requirements.

 

  • Supports Operations Director in ensuring production output meets planner's demand on schedule and meets yield & quality targets.

 

  • Applies state of the art techniques in the area of expertise to develop new or improved products and processes

 

  • Execute the development & improvements plans by ensuring that manufacturing processes, procedures, and associated process validations. Improves process flow, part manufacturability process capabilities with LEAN methodology.

 

  • Assist in the assessment and execution of reliability and process qualification of new process modules for new products at outsource FAB process vendors/suppliers.

 

  • Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress. Upkeep all process design documentation

 

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.

 

  • All other reasonable duties, as assigned.

 

 

 

AUTHORITIES

 

  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced engineers.

 

  • Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning quality and assure that effective corrective action or improvement is implemented.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Minimun Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimun
    • 1 - 2 years of experience in wafer fabrication process with some experience in manufacturing/process development, operations management in the field of photonics, semiconductors, telecommunications, company with similar or larger size and market capitalization
  • Specific Knowledge/Skills
    • Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality and Operations,
    • Understanding process validations. Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools.
    • Knowledge of up-to-date production and automation equipment, processes, designs and functions
