I am not sure I follow why you would be concerned with the message below. If you look at the R&R presentation it clearly shows the 100G ROSA in the middle of 2018. I think they just started sampling these PIN detectors in Sept for 100G applications and as stated the channel rates are good and in fact exceed the required rates. So if they can in fact launch in mid-2018 you will be able to start the printing press. I was encouraged by the statement below. Again we need to recognize the very significant advantage this POET optical engine has in cost to appreciate what customer response could be. The improved margins that this ROSA provides will no doubt drive demand by companies who build transceivers for the 100G market.
"We are making good progress and remain on track for a mid-2018 launch of our ROSA optical engine, which utilizes our dielectric photonics platform. We have recently tested the bandwidth of our 25G PIN detector at a bandwidth that exceeds the requirements for 25Gbps channel rates. Combining four PINs into a single device, or QuadPIN, will allow the optical engine to receive at a minimum speed of 100 Gbps. Additional engineering, optimization and product qualification are required to complete the development of the ROSA optical engine."
