Quan Gork: I tend to not put any emphasis on these words anymore, especially trying to analyze what they might have been intended to mean (e.g. clues). This has not resulting in anything meaningful to date, so I don't bother.
I agree. There are no clues, no hidden messages whatsoever. It's just the state of the company as we know it, let alone subtle changes, which are, well, just subtle.

Nothing essential – or should I say "material". These investor conferences have their own schedules, and they really don't synchronize with any company-specific events that would lead to material news. As a company, you go to such a conference with the current state that has been communicated already. If by coincidence a "material" event happens closely before or at the same date as the investor conferences: fine, then publish a news release and update your presentation. However, that's not the usual case but just coincidence.
