My POET you said:

The VCSEL works on an epi that cannot integrate with anything else in the market.

How do know this? Making adjustments to the epi is something that everyone does during development and to categorize this in such blunt way is false. They are not throwing out the epi and starting over again which is something that appears to be implied by your posts here.

Take a look at the problems that Finisar is having to develop their VCSEL for sensing applications and they are a very big company. So yes Finisar has been working hard to make improvements to their yield with much greater resources and it’s not a monolithic platform. And now they have to go through wafer size conversion to go from 4in to 6in in an effort to improve the economics of the plant.

Would you agree with the statement below or not?

POET’s GaAs platform has proven detecting, lasing, modulating, and switching capability on a single GaAs semiconductor chip—no less than a revolutionary technology—integrating optical and electrical functions on a single semiconductor.

If you can find something that I wrote presenting incorrect facts (not opinion) then please do. So yes I will continue to correct statements made on this forum that are false. Including yours.

I am done for today but please continue with you posts. It is the kind of stuff that no one here has ever heard before.
