JOB DESCRIPTION

To support in the performance of quality functions such as conducting failure analysis using available FA tools Reliability, and performing quality inspections.

Scope

Work under supervision of QA engineer to meet and improve the response time.
Perform failure analysis using available FA tools such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), high power microscope inspection, decapping, deprocessing, cross-sectioning, bench testing, and desoldering and soldering of components.
Support critical engineering evaluations that require failure analysis and generate reports.
Support for failure analysis laboratory maintenance
Observe safety and housekeeping during day-to-day failure analysis activities.
Observe and meet cycle time for all products for Analysis.
Liaise with external FA/Test laboratory for any test required that is not within DenseLight capability
Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of products, partially assembled or finished products.
Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing done during incoming, outgoing and in-process inspection
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Maintain all controlled document files and FA & Inspection records in a timely and accurate manner.
