You mean could POET be working with someone else and therefor India has no one to fit the bill?
Anything is possible. But one would think that in order for India to spend dollars to upgrade the 6 inch line to meet POET’s requirements that there would have been some commitment. India provides a means for POET to develop the platform while retaining ownership of the commercial applications. Kind of a win, win but who knows. With Suresh’s contacts associated with his work with many companies on new technology development at Global Foundries he could have someone else who is eager to develop POET under acceptable conditions. I think the last thing we would ever want is for POET to spin out the platform as I believe it will ultimately be the way forward for monolithic integration of opto-electronics.
