np56 , for my little brain to follow any of this is next to impossible but I decided to give it a try anyway and read the information from the site u supplied. This stood out because of what I read in Poet's last couple of NR's.
Building photonics into chips
At the chip level, the first implementations will be die-to-die within a package using an interposer, most likely using one chip for photonics and another for standard electronic processing and routing. The opto-electric conversion will happen either before it crosses into a standard silicon interposer, or after the signals reach the other side using an optical interposer.
If ,as u say, Poet has a unique interposer than make no wonder all the interest in Poet after their last few news releases. Most people don't understand it and the ones that do are explaining it to the "big boys" who are gobbling up the shares as fast as they can and still trying to not draw too much attention to that fact. This coming week the market will be very telling for Poet and where we are going in my opinion.GLTA
