Wouldn't that be something. Long term price appreciation and dividend producing. If the technology is something that everyone wants than one could see such a scenario.

IIRC, Arm Holdings was taken private, so no dividends. If POET was ever acquired, the dream scenario would be by a large public entity already paying dividends. That would mean conversion of our shares without tax consequences (unlike being forced to sell them if they went private). Of course this is all pie in the sky at this point, and I'd rather POET be the ultimate owner of its dividend-paying shares.
