 Dear Brightech,

We're all delighted with your report and for giving us a real feel for the buzz surrounding the OFC Conference - many thanks indeed!

Cherry picking from pointers both you and Oz have given us, I sense more than ever that IQE might turn out to be the (mystery) partner referred to in one of the recent company statements.

It is of great interest to me that you mentioned Bill Ring is Welsh and it seems entirely logical that he would support the current initiatives in South Wales, where I was brought up ( though I live in North Wales now). Reading a comment made by one of IQE's employees at St Mellon's, it would seem that there is spare capacity at their facility to help POET ramp up and take advantage of the initiatives the Welsh Government are supporting.  The research fellowship at Swansea University certainly add to the proposition too.  We'll see in due course, but the UK seems bent on supporting such initiatives for growing the industry post Brexit. Bill Ring is certainly growing in credibility on this side of the pond.

Again many thanks for your most interesting report.

With warm regards,

Sula
