My Poet, have to respectfully disagree.
First, as we know, Oz often tries to peek at the very edges of the indusrty to see what may be afoot.
Second, PoET does have a theoretical technology in the GaAs work as well as what appears to be nearer term interlink solution that functions with a variety of base strata that may/can provide an answer to the question of "faster, cooler, cheaper"
The principle that as pressure (be it monetary, technical or human) increases, the willingness to allocate more funds to achieve a solution also increases, and money (internally or through partnership with big data) is what is needed to reactivate the monolithic chip development.
So, what appears to be your personnal fustration with the present state of affairs aside, clearly Oz is not off topic with this post.
