Nonsense. When it comes to Venture exchange stocks EVERYONE invests with hope. There’s no tangible product when you make your initial investment, that’s why they’re listed on the Exchange. So hope is a major driver. 

There’s a big difference between hope and blind hope. You cannot sit there and honestly think there’s no reason for any optimism at this point in time. If you honestly believed that you wouldn’t be still invested. No matter how terrible the sp is you wouldn’t stick around in a stock that you consider to be hope-less
