Just to be clear there are 2 testing periods. The short one is for the Receive Optical Engine ROE which they expect to be qualified in Q3 with production ready 100G Receive Optical Engines available in Q4 and an expectation to begin receiving orders by the end of the year. The longer one which is more rigorous is for the Transmit Optical Engine which they expect to have prototypes for in Q1 2019.
I don't have time to listen to the specifics but the talk here seems to be confusing the ROE testing with the TROE testing requirements.
