Thanks for the information and your comments Oz. I'm trying to figure out and compare the "price points" exampled in POET's CIOE presentation, page 24:

PSM4: Tranceiver Pricing $150, Price of Optics + Packaging (minus electronics) ~$74, and Price of Poet Optical Engine ~$25- $40.

CWDM: Tranceiver Pricing $250Price of Optics + Packaging (minus electronics) ~$150, and Price of Poet Optical Engine ~$50- $70.

Based on your statement, the pricing for public domain is greater by $200-$250. Is this what you suggest is reflected in quoted INTEL "100G PSM4 QSFP28 = US $ 729" and INTEL "100G CWDM4 = US $ 799" when compared to the "competitor offering" listed in CIOE (~$74 and ~$150)?

Also, I would like to comment positively on the networking, dealings and partnerships with the industry outside of North America. However, it makes me wonder if this was strategic or forced. Going forward against big name players and potentially impacting their bottom lines... POET is still in the stage of building a brand and business on top of a strong reputation, competing against reputable and goliath companies. Lacking the reputation, the Optical Interposer will be our key for driving a foot into the industry with our yields. At this stage, even if POET can deliver cost and value advantages, the political prowess of the team may be evermore so important.
