JOB DESCRIPTION
To support in the performance of quality functions such as conducting
failure analysis using available FA tools Reliability, and performing
quality inspections.
* Perform failure analysis using available FA tools such as Scanning
Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX),
high power microscope inspection, decapping, deprocessing,
cross-sectioning, bench testing, and desoldering and soldering of
components.
* Support critical engineering evaluations that require failure
analysis and generate reports.
* Support for failure analysis laboratory maintenance
* Observe safety and housekeeping during day-to-day failure analysis
activities.
* Observe and meet cycle time for all products for Analysis.
* Coordinates and plan the reliability task and activities to be
conducted.
* Coordinates and drives in-house project development task listed in
certain NPI programs with follow up on the progress.
* Liaise with external FA/Test laboratory for any test required that
is not within DenseLight capability
* Documents the reliability test results.
* Support in the setup and operation of reliability test equipment.
* Performs other tasks as may be required by immediate superior.
* 2 years’ experience in Failure Analysis tools particularly SEM,
Reliability and testing in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing.
* Able to use standard microscope and other QA inspection tools
* Knowledge in ISO 9001 and 14001
* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such
as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and
other office procedures and terminology
* Computer skills (Microsoft office)
Interesting, I had to look up the definition of NPI, here is what I found:
New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) is the process of bringing a product or service from inception to market. Pre-release steps are generally referred to as New Product Development, and the release to manufacturing and market steps are referred to as New Product Introduction.
