Remember that development of new products was one part of that news release. POET also reported that they have taken orders for existing prototypes. So once these companies are satisfied that POETs prototypes match stated metrics that is  when they would order the volumes required which in some cases would be required to  displace existing orders from different suppliers. 

So I think that can certainly happen fairly quickly as many will have no doubt position themselves to move quickly and aggressively to be in the pipeline. 

Recall slide 15 of the Sept investor presentation. $480 million in sales was project from a single customer over a 4 year period and $50 million projected in 2019. I doubt those numbers were pulled out of thin air. 

We now know that they are on target with the first set of production ready prototypes so this should provide the market with a greater confidence in the financial projections in the Sept presentation.
