I agree, the waters are murky, but from what I read this reprieve in the trade war is likely to be brief, and likely will resume sometime in the new year....unless of course cooler heads prevail.
Not so sure how the NDA's protect the company though, other than through the obvious technological protection. POET is a Canadian company, with a branch office in the US, and most operations being performed in Asia. The trade war between the US and China should have little impact on this company, especially in light of what appears to be our main customers being Asian currently. Certainly, if some American companies become interested in our wares there could be some fricition with the trade hawks, but if I'm reading it correctly, the Americans have no desire to fall behind anyone on any front, tradewise. If POET comes up with a product that Americans want and need, an exception can and will be made.
There is no doubt the company will need to carefully navigate these waters, but I'm quite sure that sales will be made in Asia regardless of the American position toward China.
It's a USA problem, not ours.
