I think my original post may have been poorly written as to it's intent. We know that POET tech was not involved when the original patent was applied for, but as John has pointed out, they needed a platform to work from.
We don't know what the finished products from this platform will look like or contain, but the guessing part is, because of the present colaberative relationship between POET and Accelink, their finished products will most likely contain POET technology.
