Message: Lets get the share price heading in the right direction!

I have submitted an idea for management to consider.

POET can't tell the market that they believe the share price is undervalued although many will push the limits or rules in this regard. But they can certainly tell the market through a normal course issuer bid announcement.

POET has signaled that they intend to secure a non-convertible loan (non-dilutive). This action will signal the market that there is no public financing requirement and so the usual abundance of cheap shares will not be hitting the market. That will be good but how about ramping up the pressure by announcing a buyback of shares. POET is confident that the demand for the Optical Interposer platform products is going to be very heavy and the ramp of production should begin to take off by the end of the year. They are enabling the kind of capacity that will allow this happen.

So on the basis of this one could expect the value of POET shares to see some very big momentum this year and one would expect the share price right now to be the bottom. So I think if the business plan unfolds the way we think it will then there is a good chance some of the warrants will come into the money and be exercised this year. So add up the $40 million for the sale of DL say a $10 million loan (a guess) and maybe another $10 to $20 million in warrant conversion and we are talking about a lot of liquidity. If POET bought back 10 million shares at an average price of say .50 that would be $5 million and would have a value of many times this price once the share price takes off. This  would be a show of confidence that I think shareholders would love to see.

The great thing is POET can announce the intent to initiate a normal course issuer bid and that is often enough to get the attention of those who would sell shares playing the ups and downs. It is a means to remove volatility and frankly it would have great future value. These guys are making bold moves. This is an easy move that can have an immediate effect on the share price.

5.3 News Release

The Issuer can issue a news release indicating its intention to make a Normal Course Issuer Bid, subject to regulatory approval, before the Exchange accepts the executed Notice. The news release should summarize the material aspects of the Notice, including the name of the Member conducting the normal course issuer bid on behalf of the Issuer, number of shares sought, the percentage of the outstanding shares or Public Float sought, the reason for the bid and previous purchases. If a news release has not already been issued, a draft news release should be provided to the Exchange and the Issuer must issue a news release as soon as the Notice is accepted by the Exchange.
