Ottawa is where POET will perform waveguide R&D for new applications. We should also recognize that Suresh is on record stating that assembly and test will be set up somewhere. He has identified Singapore, Canada or the US as initial CANdidates which includes the distribution point for finished products.
So why wouldn’t POET go after some no strings attached funding like some other Canadian companies (Nanoone).
The payoff could pretty big for Ottawa if POET sets up that part of the business in Canada.
